It was designed with the goal of making it possible to live, work and play all in the same community. Today, Aliso Viejo boasts award- winning schools, including SOKA University, a convenient location, great shopping, dining and entertainment, numerous employment centers, beautiful parks and tons of recreational activities. Aliso Viejo has not only reached their intended goal, but continues to grow and prosper.
SOKA University is an independent selective four year liberal arts college that opened in May 2001. It is founded on the Buddhist principles of peace, human rights and the sanctity of life. SOKA University has students in attendance from 18 countries and 18 states. This 103 acre campus emphasizes foreign language and culture, has a 9 to 1 student/ teacher ratio and offers a laptop computer to each entering first year student.
Aliso Viejo is also home to Aliso and Wood Canyons Park which opened to the public in 1990. This park contains 4000 acres of wilderness and natural open space along with a natural history museum with animal exhibits and a variety of programs on natural history. There are three nine hole designs, The Ridge, The Creek and The Valley which all offer scenic beauty as well as differing quality golf experiences. Players of all levels will enjoy the Aliso Viejo Golf Club.

Category: Dana Point2008-02-24 22:21:32Dana Point may very well be one of the top locations in the country to live. Nestled along the Southern California coastline about 70 miles south of Los Angeles and about 65 miles north of San Diego. Dana Point boasts one of the best year round climates you could wish for.
Dana Point was named after Richard Henry Dana Jr., a Harvard- trained lawyer, seaman and author. In his famous sea journal, "Two Years Before the Mast," (1840), Dana documents his voyage from Boston around Cape Horn to California. He describes the area once known as Capistrano Bay as "the most romantic spot on the California coast". Today, Capistrano Bay is known as Dana Point.
Dana Point is characterized by nearly seven miles of coastal bluffs and rolling hills along the Pacific Ocean. The white sandy beaches invite you to swim, surf, or just relax and soak up the sun. The beautiful Dana Point Harbor offers a multitude of specialty shops as well as some of the best restaurants in Orange County. In addition to providing slips and mooring for over 2500 boats, the Harbor is also considered the gateway to Doheny State Park, one of California's most popular beach facilities. The 62 acre State Park offers camping, picnicing, beach activities, bicycling and more.
The city of Dana Point offers two 5 star resorts, the oceanfront Ritz Carlton, and the St. Regis with its 18 hole Monarch Links golf course overlooking the blue pacific. In case all of this wasn't enough, two major shopping malls are within 10, and 20 minutes away, and you are only an hour from Los Angeles, or a weekend in Mexico.

Everyone is worried about what the market is going to do next. Go up. Go down. Stay around where it is. Well, we may need a prophet linked to the divine to determine this one, but there’s good news for you to consider. It doesn’t really matter. Now, I know you’re saying, “OK, he’s lost it.” Nope…I just look at the market in a different way then most people do.
